Drug & Medical Device Litigation

Litigation involving dangerous prescription drugs and defective medical devices has exploded in recent years. Although drugs and medical devices are regulated by the government, there have been numerous examples of devices that have been approved for use but are nevertheless unsafe, often life-threatening. Fisher, Boyd, Johnson & Huguenard, LLP represents patients harmed by defective and dangerous drugs and medical devices, and is actively investigating other potential lawsuits.

Larry Boyd was appointed Plaintiffs’ Lead Counsel by United States District Judge Ed Kinkeade in the federal multi-district product liability litigation (MDL) involving the DePuy Pinnacle Hip Implant. As Lead Counsel in MDL 2244, Mr. Boyd is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of lawyers representing plaintiffs in the MDL on pre-trial and trial matters. This MDL lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, in Dallas, Civil Action Number 3:11-md-02244, In Re: DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., Pinnacle Hip Implant Product Liability Litigation. More information about the case can be found on the Court’s website.
